October card class using Summer Silhouette stamp set

Good morning everyone - how are you doing today?

It's damp and grey here, but I am not letting that get me down.... I have Stampin' Up's annual Convention in Mainz, Germany next Friday and Saturday, and I am so excited. I went to Disneyland Paris for the convention last year and it was 2 full days of crafting heaven... I wonder what is in store for us this year??!!! One of the best things for me (although there are just too many to choose!) is that we get to meet up with demonstrators from all over Europe, and I am looking forward to catching up with old friends and making new ones too! It is only open to Demonstrators, so if you would like the opportunity to attend next year with me, why not call or email me for a no obligation chat about joining my Stampin' Up Team called the Pink Owls? I'd love for you to join me and we do have such fun!
Anyway, onto the crafty bit - that's what you've come to look at after all *grin*
Here is the last of 3 cards made at the October card class. It's a bright and cheery card and you can't help but smile when you look at it can you?
It uses the brand new stamp set called Summer Silhouette (page 82) and it is so easy to stamp too.

I made 2 cards as samples because I couldn't decide if I liked the red polka dot border going all the way across the card or only the width of the whisper white panel..... which do you like best??
I also versamarked the background to stop the crumb cake card looking too bland and stark... but you could always buy the "Natural Composition Specialty" paper and get a similar effect.
I just love the colours of this card, I saw it in the catalogue and thought I'd copy it (look at the top right of page 83) And we used the stamp-a-ma-jig to line up the 2-step stamping, it really is a must have tool and you will find once you understand how to use it you won't want to be without it!
Here is the close up of stamping with the versamark ink pad, it produces a watermark effect which I love.
And as always, here is the inside all decorated and beautified...
And here are both cards together, which one do you prefer?
