October card class using Betsy's Blossom stamp set

Good morning lovely blog friends and new followers, welcome to my blog...

I thought last week was going to be quieter outside of work, but boy was I mistaken... it meant that I haven't had a spare moment to myself, let alone blog about what I have been up to. Also, my Mum who has a rare debilitating condition had a really nasty fall on Friday and is now in an even worse way and has hurt herself badly - bless her. Although she lives with my Dad, he has a bad back and shoulder, so he is limited to what he can do too. I rallied around at the weekend in between holding classes and project workshops and did as much as I could for her, you know - food shopping, washing, rubbing her swollen feet and soothing her poorly, achy body, but it really doesn't seem enough. I hope she recovers from this fall soon and gets back to her cheery self once again as I hate to see her in so much pain and suffering. Please keep her in your thoughts.... thank you.

Anyway, here is the second card made at my October monthly card class.

It uses the gorgeous new stamp set called Betsy's blossoms (page 72) and the new In-Colours 2012-2014, which are also the new firm foam style and I love them. The new ink pads coat the stamps beautifully and give such a great ink coverage on the solid stamps that the old ink style pads didn't... I am totally sold on them, but you mustn't be heavy-handed with them as it really isn't necessary.

Here is the inside, all nicely decorated too.... so bright and cheery, don't you think?

Plus, the added bonus of this card is that it can be obviously hand delivered or posted without any problems because it is completely flat and has no decoration to add bulk or dimension to it... what a result!
And this is a close up of how well the solid stamping comes out - and if you don't get it solid and you're not happy with it, you can always use the In-Colour 2012-2014 marker pens to touch up the image! See, what's not to love??
