Gift Box made and decorated using Blooms & Wishes from Stampin' Up!....

Well hello and happy Friday to you all.
I have been busy crocheting away on a new project.... Bunting! My amazing friend said in passing she'd always wanted some crocheted bunting from her little Summer House she retreats to for some time alone, so I decided to give it a go. I have never tried it before and I love how it all turned out. If you follow me on Facebook or Instagram you will have seen my progress :)

After I finished it I wanted to make something equally gorgeous to pop her present in, especially as it was her birthday this month, so here is what I made, come and have a look.....

I used one sheet of 12"x12" sheet in Pink Pirouette and one in Melon Mambo card stock. I then for the base I scored all four sides at 2" to make the bottom, and the lid I cut it down to 11"x11"  and scored it at 1 1/2" to make sure it was a tiny bit bigger to fit over the base. To make it easier to lift off I used the 3/4" circle punch and placed it half way in and punched, it looks nice and it's practical too!

I decorated it with some retired ribbon, and cut out one scalloped circle in Watermelon Wonder and a smaller one in Flirty Flamingo cardstock, and a plain circle in Whisper White cardstock using the Layering Circles Framelits. I stamped on the Whisper white circle using the "Blooms and Wishes" stamp set (on page 139 of the annual catalogue) I used the For You sentiment in Watermelon Wonder, and stamped flowers in Pool Party, Daffodil Delight and Flirty Flamingo, finished off with some Basic Jewels, looks great doesn't it.

And here is a closer look at the bunting.

This is it laid on my ironing board all tied together. I am waiting to grab a picture of it up and displayed in Carol's Summer House, so watch this space!

Anyway, thank you for stopping by today!
