Well hello again, and welcome to my blog!
As promised, here is the next installment to my trip of a lifetime I took in July..... are you ready to see what we got up to?
This is taken from Shelli's blog, and it gives you an idea of just how many of us there were, eagerly waiting to go through the doors to share in the fun and excitement!! What a great company to be a part of!
The opening of Convention was amazing!!! This years theme tune song "Be The Difference" was sung by America's "The Voice" contestant called Ryan Innes.... he blew us away with his voice, and that song goes around and around in your head once you hear it - but in a good way!
And of course - there were fireworks (which this picture doesn't do it justice!)After that, Shelli appeared on stage, and for the first time ever, one by one ALL her family came out on stage to join her as it was the 25th Anniversary. It was a touching moment.
Then we got what we were all waiting for....... our convention bags!!! they gave out nearly 6000 in 15 minutes or so, normally we would collect our bags when we arrive, but this year was a year of doing things differently!
In the above collage, you can see a lovely picture of the four of us (bottom right), waving our Union Jack flags! (Left to right) Michelle Last, Nicky Whittall, Catherine Carroll and myself. I really love this picture.
Above you can see a collage of Pam Morgan from Stampin' Up! showing us some gorgeous projects she made - very inspiring!
After the general session finished for the night, we wandered into another huge hall to see demo's from all over the world sharing their ideas and inspirational samples. And in the above collage you can see Monica Gale (UK demo) doing her presentation on Bridal & Wedding ideas, it was amazing.... and Jenni Pauli (German Demo) sharing her samples, I adore both these ladies!!
Everywhere you looked there were displays that were out of this world.... the set design team had done an amazing job, wouldn't you agree?
The display above showed all the catalogues produced and pictures of Shelli and through the ages, and some of the pictures made us chuckle!
There was a Guinness World Record attempt too, which was to send the most greeting cards from one place at one time.... and we were part of that and achieved the record! 2,984 hand-stamped cards were sent from a single location at one time by those demonstrators attending the 25th Stampin' Up! Convention in Salt Lake City, Utah.
