Pinkies blog hop - The NEW Spring-Summer catalogue

We’re so glad you could join us on Part 1 of the Pinkies Spring/Summer Blog Hop. We are showcasing lots of gorgeous projects using products from the new Stampin’ Up!® Spring/Summer Catalogue. We have so much inspiration to share with you so we will be offering two Blog Hops - Part 2 will be tomorrow (Sunday 10th February). Simply use the buttons at the end of each post to keep on hopping. Do come back tomorrow to see what Part 2 has in store. We love comments, so please tell us what you think!

If you have arrived here from Calli's blog, a big hello to you.........

So, let me show you what I've made using a selection of the *lush* new goodies in the Spring/Summer catalogue. In my opinion, I think this catalogue is one of my favourites so far... there is so much to choose from!!!

I really love the new "core'dinations card stock". I chose the Pool Party colour way and ran it through the big shot using the "Chevron embossing folder" to give it some texture, then sanded it to give it some definition, cool huh?

Here is a close up of the front of the card and you can see I used the "Window Frames collection framelits" to make an aperture in the same shape as the "Just Thinking" stamp.
I wanted to accent the aperture shape a little more so I used the "Festive Paper Piercing Pack" template and poked holes, looks good doesn't it?
And you can see the piercing a lot clearer on this shot, and I echoed the shape on the inside by using the "Window Frame" framelits in several sizes.
I adore the new "Two-Tone ribbon" and knew I wanted to use it on my card. I think it finishes it off perfectly!

Stampin' Up! Product used:
Card Stock - Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake, Pool Party Core'dination card
Paper - Print Poetry Designer Series Paper Pack Stack
Stamp - Just Thinking
Ink - Basic Grey
Ribbon - Two-Tone ribbon in Pink Pirouette/Rose Red
Accessories -  Basic Rhinestone Jewels, Festive Paper Piercing Pack template, Window Frame framelits, Chevron Ebossing Folder, Big Shot.

So next stop is Michelle Last's blog, why don't you go and take a peek at what she has been up to?

Thanks for stopping by........ and don't forget there is Part 2 of the blog hop tomorrow (Sunday 10th Feb 2013)
