Hello and welcome to my blog! Wow, I can't believe we are on the last day of February..... where has this month gone to??!!
Anyway, back to the card I want to share with you.... So, yesterday was my eldest Nephew's 24th birthday, and that time has flown too. I remember the day he was born as clear as if it were yesterday!! He is continually growing up (literally - he's over 6 foot tall) to be such a great person, and I am very proud to be his Auntie.
I know he likes his watches, so I thought I would have a go at making a watch card... (apologies about the photo,it was taken in the evening, indoors)
I used the large size Soda Pop Top from the Spring/Summer catalogue, stamped another watch face and cut it out using the 1" circle punch, adhered it to the soda pop top with "Tombow" glue and then added "Crystal Effects" to the face and allowed it to dry completely (for several hours) to make it look more realistic...
The stamp set with the watch is called "Dapper Dad"
The sentiment came from the very versatile stamp set called "Memorable Moments" and I used this to decorate the inside too... see.
I stamped another watch onto Whisper White card stock using Basic Black ink and the allowed it to dry. Once dry, again I added Crystal Effects to the "watch face" and left to completely dry creating the shiny face!
The paper's called "Parker's Patterns" DSP (I always want to call it Peter Parker, from Spiderman!) I love the dimension to this card, and don't panic - as it's quite bulky I hand delivered it :)
Here you can see the side view, and I am very pleased with the way it turned out!
What do you think - do you like it? - I'd love to hear from you.... and if you have a go at making a card like this why not share it on email with me.
I would love to help you with anything you may need so please do not hesitate to get in touch at lynne.fahey@gmail.com or 07828 149666.
