Cards made at my monthly card class in June

Well hello again my lovely blog friends and new followers...

Today I am going to share with you all 3 cards made at my June monthly card class. I started off running one night per month from my home, and now I am in the very fortunate position of needing to hold two nights, so I can accommodate all the lovely attendee's - wow! I hold the Tuesday night class and repeat it again on Wednesday night...

Here is the first card we made... I love the bold bright colours and the simplicity of it. And as far as I'm concerned, everyone should have a cupcake on their birthday, right?! The cherry on the top could be heat embossed with Stampin' Up's new scented embossing powders... they come in Vanilla, Cherry or Melon, and they smell so yummy! why not try them out...

The inside of the card is clean and simply too, with just the sentiment stamped.

Stamps - Sweet cake, Cupcake wheel,

Ink- Cherry Cobbler, Early Espresso

Card stock - Chocolate Chip, Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White

Ribbon - Scallop dot ribbon in Chocolate chip

Spotty background - Perfect Polka Dot embossing folder

Here is card number 2...
I wanted to show how you can make a card using very little... and this card is a perfect example of that. I love the Elizabeth stamp with it's elegant flourish. And I teamed it up with the oval and oval scallop punches to create a little focal point, and used one of the stamps from "You're Cherished" set.

As you can see, I have made 3 slightly different versions of this card, do you have a favourite... if so, which one?

Card 2:

Stamps - Elizabeth, You're Cherished

Ink- Indigo Island 

Card stock - Neutrals Ivory, Very Vanilla, In colour 2011-2013 Paper Stack

Ribbon - Ruffled ribbon in Island indigo

Punches - Scallop oval, large oval, Eyelet border

And finally, the third card made.... I wanted to get them to "play" with colouring the flowers in with inks and the aqua painter. It really is easier than you think, and it's such fun, and look at the result... beautiful isn't it?!

I used plain card stock and showed them how to get the most from your stamp sets by using the stamps and ink to create your own background paper. Here are two cards that look the same, but actually, they are slightly different... I used different stamps on the green panel... see.

And here is a close up of the painted flowers, cut out and raised on dimensionals over the top and bottom part of the framelits, something else that's new to SU... framelits! I shall be playing with these more next week, I love them!

And finally, the inside of the card, echoing the flower on the front.... lovely.
