Sadly, a very close family friend passed away suddenly on Monday 25th May, and my Mum and I attended his funeral this Monday 8th June 09. Even though it was a very sad and emotional day, it was a lovely to catch up with all who knew him and to listen to stories of old. When I think of my childhood, growing up, scraping knees, learning to roller skate, playing with weebles and farm animals with my older Sister and his two Son's, running around in swimming costumes having water fights in the scorchingly hot summer of '76, I will always think of them with such fond memories.
He will be sadly missed, and we're sending his family lots of love, strength and hugs to let them know they aren't alone.
Some sympathy cards are in my opinion, to "over the top" with religious words, and some people just aren't wanting that. So, I wanted this card to be simple yet effective, and I am pleased with how it turned out.
I used basic card stock in pink and brown. I stamped and heat embossed over the card and added the sentiment and ribbon, and that's it, simple!
Versamark clear
Embossing powder - Judikins Iridescent Sparkle
Background Stamp - Judikins Wince flowers and leaves 3344H
Sentiment - The Artful Stamper 1331G
Brown organza ribbon
Thank you for stopping by and looking, I hope you have a wonderful week.
Luv Lynne
